Three Vision Fest Takeaways

This past weekend was Vision Fest 2019. For four years now, we have been coming together to create Vision Boards with new found clarity about our year to come. It is hands down my favorite event that we host at Leadership Arts.

As with all of our programming, I am always constantly re-evaluating to ensure that we deliver the absolute best! As a result, Vision Fest has had quite an evolution and after experiencing this year’s Vision Fest I had a few takeaways that I would like to implement for next year.

As my fellow Visionaries, I’d like to share these takeaways with you first…

  1. Saturday is a no go! For the last two years, we have been offering create sessions on Saturday. In fact, last year the entire event was held solely on a Saturday. We made this change in offering as a result of direct requests, hoping that a Saturday session might be easier to fit into everyone’s hectic schedules. What we have found is that the Saturday sessions generate the lowest attendance and Friday sessions continue to bring in the high number of registrations. Therefore, I have decided to discontinue Saturday create sessions and return to a one-day event that will happen on a Friday.
  1. Happy Boards! Also in the last two years, we have had the new trend of little ones joining our sessions. They come accompanying their parents against their will. However, each were intrigued to give the process a whirl. But for these little guys and gals, we simplified the process and instead of making Vision Boards, they made Happy Boards. Canvases filled with what brings joy to their hearts. Because of this new development, I am contemplating offering a Vision Family Fest, but would like to gauge interest.
  1. Calling all LA Visionaries! Last but certainly not least, I am constantly blown away by the community that has developed out of Vision Fest. We truly have our own team of Visionaries that come together every year. I would like to grow and nurture this community. To do this, I am creating an exclusive mailing list geared for this specific community.

As always, I consider it a huge honor and privilege to serve as the facilitator for Vision Fest every year. I am so grateful for each of you that choose to show up and give yourself permission to go through this very personal and intimate process. This work is my calling. I am here to serve you and aid in any way I can as you continue on your path of destiny.

Sincerely,
