Stories change hearts. Samm’s guest in this episode believes that stories are an internal art of transformation. In this episode, Melissa Plotkin shares how to listen to these stories that will transform us. She shares how to invite others to share these stories with us. She shares how we seek out the stories we need to hear most right now. Samm and Melissa also talk about #metoo stories and how this movement can teach us some powerful lessons about navigating the current times. 

 

About Melissa:


Melissa Plotkin has spent her 25+ year career in nonprofit and government. Most recently she served as the Director of the York Jewish  Community’s I.D.E.A.S. Center, an award-winning hub for diversity and inclusion information, training, and resources. She has co-facilitated Leadership for Diverse Schools, instructing educators and administrators since 2013 and serves on several school district’s diversity committees.  She has assisted many local businesses and organizations in building an inclusive culture through training, audits, and assessments. 

Melissa is a member of the Leadership York Board of Directors, the YWCA  Racial Justice committee and was the former President of the York  Suburban Communities That Care.
